Daily Writing Reminder #6: Write About a House

Welcome back to the Daily Writing Reminder — your quick nudge to keep the words flowing. Today is the sixth reminder!

Show up for your writing today, even if it’s just a few honest lines. Steady steps build stronger stories than bursts you can’t sustain.

Today’s Nudge

A house key left inside of a door.
Write about a house — real, imagined, or entirely symbolic.

Maybe it’s the home you grew up in, an abandoned cottage at the edge of a forest, or a futuristic skyscraper apartment. Let the house become a character, a setting, or a metaphor in your writing.

📌Try giving the house its own personality — what would it say if it could speak?

Set a Reminder

Write today, even if it’s only a single vivid paragraph. That’s all it takes to keep your creative muscles warm and ready.

📌 If the words feel stuck, focus on one small detail — a creaky stair, the smell of the kitchen, or the sound of rain on the roof — and build from there.
