Daily Writing Reminder #13: Write About an Object You Keep Close

Welcome back to the Daily Writing Reminder — your quick nudge to keep the words flowing. Today is the thirteenth reminder!

Writing every day doesn’t require a masterpiece — it requires showing up. Even a short exercise builds your voice and strengthens your craft over time.

Today’s Nudge

A compact cassette tape on the ground outside.
Write about an object you keep close to you.

It could be something in your pocket, on your desk, or by your bedside. Why do you keep it near? What meaning does it hold?

📌 Try imagining the object’s history — where it came from, who touched it before you, or what stories it might carry if it could speak.

Set a Reminder

Your words matter. Take 10 minutes today to explore this object, and see where it leads. You might uncover a memory, a piece of yourself, or even the start of a new story.

📌 Don’t worry about “importance” — sometimes the smallest objects carry the greatest weight on the page.
