Daily Writing Reminder #16: Write About a Childhood Memory

Welcome back to the Daily Writing Reminder — your quick nudge to keep the words flowing. Today is the sixteenth reminder!

Show up for your writing today, even if it’s just a paragraph. The act of sitting down with your words builds trust with yourself and your creativity.

Today’s Nudge

A stack of books with glasses on top.
Write about a childhood memory.

It could be something vivid and joyful, or even a small detail you only half-remember — the smell of a kitchen, the sound of a playground, or a favorite toy. Let the memory guide the story.

📌 Try writing it first as you remember it, then reimagine it through the eyes of a character in a story.

Set a Reminder

Write today, even if it’s just a few lines. Your words don’t need to be perfect — they just need to exist.

📌 Don’t overthink the “right” memory. Sometimes the tiniest moments reveal the most powerful stories.
