Welcome back to Vocab of the Day! Explore 3 new words every day.

Today’s Words

A young lady at the end of a hallway lined up with bookshelves reading.

Lissome, Boisterous, and Cosmic

What does lissome mean?

Lissome (adjective) – gracefully thin, supple, or flexible.
Example: The dancer’s lissome movements gave the performance an almost weightless beauty.

What does boisterous mean?

Petrichor (noun) – the pleasant, earthy smell that rises when rain falls on dry soil.
Example: After the storm passed, the petrichor filled the air, bringing a sense of calm renewal.

What does cosmic mean?

Boisterous (adjective) – noisy, energetic, and cheerful; rowdy.
Example: The children grew boisterous with laughter as the game became more competitive.

📌 Try blending these words into one short descriptive passage. Maybe a boisterous crowd beneath a cosmic sky, or a lissome figure moving gracefully through a scene.
